The menu is a treasure trove of delightful dishes designed to satisfy both adventurous eaters and those seeking comforting, hearty meals. Highly recommended are the Beef Suucqar Stew, where tender marinated beef is slow-cooked with onions and bell peppers, served alongside warm pita bread that effortlessly soaks up every bite of the savory sauce. The Fish Curry, prepared in a specialty curry sauce, is another stand-out that balances subtle spices with fresh, oceanic flavors.

Vegetarian guests will appreciate the Bean Stew, a wholesome mix of beans simmered with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and bell peppers, also paired with pita bread. For those who favor poultry, the Chicken Curry and Chicken Suucqar with Rice showcase succulent chicken bathed in vibrant curry sauces that promise a depth of flavor without overwhelming the palate.

No visit to Faridas Somali Cuisine is complete without sampling their beloved Samosas, crispy pockets of spiced fillings that offer a delightful first bite or a perfect accompaniment. Accompany your meal with the house-special Chutney Green Sauce, which brings a spicy, tangy kick, or soothe your taste buds with refreshing homemade Mango or Watermelon Juice. I went with my husband cause I was really interested since the name "Farida's" and my name is Farida lol (I'm the Mexican that went the other day) and the service was 10/10 it really worth it the price since they give you big portion and is so delicious + they gave us banana which I feel really respected as they want us to eat the traditional way, the rice has delicious flavor, the goat, the bread the best! Really really worth it, I love it, I can't wait to go back!

Small restaurant serving delicious home cooked Somali cuisine for 16 years. It is located in a strip mall that’s not fully occupied. Its menu is limited and occasionally they might not have some of the dishes. However, once you take a bite of the food, you will forget about all of that, as all things are cooked just right, with good flavors that are not overpowering, and in good portions. The goat plate is very tender and the fish in both fish wrap and fish salad is moist and savory. Service is polite and courteous. There’s a discount for cash payments, too.

This is my go-to restaurant for take out Somali food. We always order the Chicken suucqar with rice, pasta, and salad. So delicious with big portions! The green hot sauce is pretty spicy and flavorful and the ranch is really good too. Make sure to get it with the mango or watermelon juice, and the side of banana for the full experience!

During our recent visit, it was impossible not to notice that nearly every table had ordered the "2 Person or More Sports Plate." At just $35, this platter is an absolute steal, especially given the generous portions. The chicken and beef were seasoned to perfection, delivering a depth of flavor that truly impressed. The pasta, served with a marinara sauce — my toddler’s favorite. The platter also came with a fresh, crisp salad and refreshing mixed drinks, making it a well-rounded meal. You can feel the warmth and love in hearty Somalian food. We opted for the watermelon and mango drinks, which were delightfully sweet and refreshing — just what we needed on a sweltering summer day. The service was exceptional; the staff was not only attentive but genuinely warm and welcoming. To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary sambusas, a thoughtful touch that left a lasting impression. Overall, this spot delivers on both quality and value, making it a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying, well-priced meal for a family. Highly recommended!
